Pumpkin Painting

Jocelyn & Lauren painted pumpkins today, they had a good time and came up with some masterpiece works of art. I see a Monet or Picasso coming out of them soon. :)

Daddy's Birthday

Friday was daddy's birthday so we took him to PF Changs for dinner which is his favorite restaurant, Lauren tried some ginger-peach hot tea and liked it. Then she helped daddy open the card & starbucks gift card she gave him.

Playing With Daddy

Lauren's new favorite toy is her daddy, she loves to play with him now. he holds her upside down and she just laughs & squeals. This is such a blessing since she didn't bond with daddy at first.

The "Tea" Party

Lauren and Jocelyn had a "tea" party at our house today, the party consisted of tea ( strawberry water), croissants and fresh fruit. the girls had a blast and they even got to drink out of "real" cups. I think I should be committed for giving 2 toddlers real glass cups on a concrete floor but they were very careful and did not drop or spill anything.

Uncle Shuck's Corn Maze

Yes, it does say uncle shucks corn maze, we took Lauren and had a blast, the maze was in the shape of a racecar and it took us about an hour to get through it, the corn was alot taller than Steve who is 6' 4" , after the maze we let lauren pick out a pumpkin for our house.

The Artistic Child

Lauren found a red expo marker and decided to paint herself, I was right around the corner and did not see her do this but I was quite shocked to find her this way. needless to say, we will have no more markers in this house. :)

The Safari Wagon

Lauren's Nana & Papa sent her a Safari Wagon a few days ago. Here's the first ride in the new wagon with her friend Jocelyn. They love this thing but it should have come with an automatic kid puller or something. :)

21 Months Old Today

Lauren is 21 months old now, seems hard to believe that she'll be 2 in just a few months. she now weighs 22 pounds and is really feisty. she says a few words but mostly it's babble still. We changed her crib into a toddler bed and she will nap on it but will not sleep in it at night, she sleeps on a pallet on our bedroom floor still. she now knows where her fingers, toes, hands, feet, nose, ears & mouth are. She likes to put her own shoes on even though they are seldom on the right feet, she also mimicks everything now.

Old Milton Country Fair

We went to the Old Milton Festival in Alpharetta today and Lauren got to feed goats, lamas, horses, and a cow. She also went for her first pony ride, she liked the ponies but wasn't sure about riding them until it was over. It was a really neat festival with clogging, dulcimer groups, spinning, chair making, gem panning, candle making and all kinds of neat stuff like that. It was a great family event.

Ft. Myers Beach

We spent the Labor Day weekend at the beach in Ft.Myers. Lauren had a great time and got really tanned in the short amount of time we were there. She loved the pool and had a good time playing in the sand at the beach. She wasn't sure at first about the ocean but warmed up to it by the second day.

Up, Up & Away

This is Lauren's new favorite ride at Six Flags, it makes daddy a little sick which is crazy since he loves Goliath but gets queasy on a kiddy ride. She would ride it over & over if she were allowed to.

The Country Bumpkin

Well, we did it. We took this beautiful Chinese baby and turned her into a country bumpkin. She is happily eating a banana moon pie and in her pink sippy is good ol Georgia sweet tea. Yep, she's country all right. Her next words might just be yee haw or ya'll.

Bruce !!!!

Meet Bruce, the newest Dudley family member. Lauren's friend Jocelyn that stays with us a few days a week named him Bruce after the shark on the movie Finding Nemo. Looks like a ferocious fish to me, what do you think ?

Get Your Motor Running !!!

Here's the newest Dudley driver, heading out to see the sights on her cool Mickey mouse car and motorcycle trike. Molly is grateful that Lauren is heading in the opposite direction of her.
